A Look Into The Life Of A 23 Year Old Impacting The World – From Home!
On September 15, 2010, I received a message from this girl called Nisha from across the world in South Africa asking me to donate to a project to bring clean water to the people in Kenya. I immediately made my donation because I know what life can be like without clean water, but what struck me was Nisha’s persistence to bring change to the world. Nisha was able to raise $7,862 ($1,362 over her initial $6,500 goal).
5 years later I reconnected with Nisha and she is at it again! Now she is raising money for the Malala Fund– an organization led by Malala Yousafzai that empowers girls through education to achieve their potential and be agents of positive change in their communities. She has raised $1,945 and is only $555 away from her goal of $2,500. To support her visit her fund-raising page.
What is amazing is that Nisha has Cerebral Palsy and runs all these life changing projects from her computer at home. She has not allowed Cerebral Palsy to interfere with her desire to make a difference in the lives of people all around the world.
I reached out to Nisha as I usually do with Passionate and Motivated people and asked her to share her story with us. Click through the interactive interview below to see what she had to say.
To learn more about Nisha and experience her story, I would strongly recommend you check out her daily blog about the challenges she faces living with Cerebral Palsy and her journey towards independence. She uses her blog as a medium through which she shows people that anyone can make a difference.
